Are you retirement-ready?

Check out how Vision Super’s services makes it easier

Retirement is the time to start enjoying the money you spent your working life accumulating, and you’ll want to be confident that your money will go the distance.

There are many steps involved in preparing for retirement including deciding whether you’re ready to leave steady employment or cut down your hours, and Vision Super can help take the stress out of these major financial decisions. You’ve already chosen us to take care of your super, let us guide you to a comfortable retirement.

Make hard decisions

Depending how close you are to retirement, it may require some tough decision-making. For example, if you’re still working, do you want to live on less now and add more into super in the way of salary sacrificing? Would you prefer an investment strategy that has been selected by experts via a Three Bucket pension account, or do you make the investment decisions yourself by opening an account-based pension?

Of course, you’re not expected to know all of the answers straight away. Vision Super offers a range of services to help gain the confidence to get there.

Set goals

Often, when retirement starts, our planning and goal setting ends. But this is actually when the real work starts! Give yourself a goal to sticking with an annual budget or visualise the type of retirement you’d like and work towards saving for it. It’s not impossible with a clear strategy. Starting early and whilst you’re still working means you can set yourself up with good habits that will see you through to retirement and beyond.

Online pension applications

We’ve tried to make it as simple as possible to become a member of the Account-based pension by taking the application process online. Once you reach preservation age, you will automatically see a banner across the top of your log in which allows you to start an income stream seamlessly online.

Of course we still have paperwork available too for those who prefer pen and paper.

We can help

Retirement, and planning for retirement, is an important stage in anyone’s life. Make sure you take the time to consider your options and seek professional advice where necessary. Our financial advisors will look at and help you understand all aspects of your financial life, including where you are now, where you want to be, and a plan of how to get there.

How can a financial planner help?

  • If you’re planning for retirement
  • If you need advice on multiple super topics
  • If you want to discuss and structure your benefits to matters outside of super such as tax or possible Centrelink benefits
  • If you want to discuss other investments outside of superannuation (for example you receive a lump sum such as an inheritance)
