East Gippsland Water provides water, wastewater and water reuse services to customers across the East Gippsland region. We are currently seeking an experienced and collaborative person to join our Service Delivery team. The Environmental Support Officer will assist in implementing and monitoring policies, programs and strategies for environmental support to ensure that the regulatory commitments for our operational assets are met.
In this role, the successful incumbent will contribute to the continued development and maintenance of our Environmental Risk Management System, as well as Wastewater and Drinking Water Risk Management Plans. This is also an opportunity to be involved in the strategic development of Annual Improvement Plans, capturing relevant data and metrics, and coordinating environmental and public health auditing and reporting.
The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and experience in environmental management and monitoring, and a demonstrated understanding of key guidelines, Acts and regulations that govern our corporate obligations. The ability to exercise high levels of reasoning, problem solving and ability to prepare reports on a wide range of environmental and treatment issues is essential.
This position is for a period of 6 months.
