We have an exciting opportunity to be one of the first to take part in a new water sector exchange program with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).
This VPS5 ($101,120 - $122,348) fixed term, 12 month exchange to 30 June 2022 would see you sitting in the Strategic Projects team within the Water and Catchments Group, leading the Urban Water Strategies and our Circular Economy initiative.
The Strategic Projects Team in Policy Partnerships Branch, Partnerships and Sector Performance Division is a small team producing BIG results. We have responsibilities for international engagement, the desal order process, circular economy initiatives, coordinating urban water strategies… And more.
This role is responsible for coordinating strategic projects and partnerships across the water sector. The role contributes to a small team with a current focus on improving long-term water security across Victoria via the development of Urban Water Strategies and identifying improvements to Victoria's water security planning framework. This position also has responsibility for developing and maintaining water sector partnerships and delivering projects related to the water sector’s transition to a circular economy under related strategies such as Recycling Victoria: a new economy.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and collaborative individual with demonstrated experience in delivering outcomes in a dynamic environment. You will be comfortable adapting to changing priorities as new strategic issues arise. Drawing on your strong experience working with external stakeholders and agencies, you will have the ability to transform big picture ideas into tangible strategies that benefit the water sector and the communities we serve while delivering on DELWP’s commitment to Service Excellence.
