VicWater wish to advise that due the escalation of the Omicron variant, we have decided to reschedule the VicWater Annual Conference to 8-9 June 2022.
As many of you will be aware, this is the second time we have had to postpone the event due to the pandemic. We are committed to proceeding with the event in person and recognise that this is also our members’ preference.
Our priority is keeping our delegates, speakers, and staff safe. We also recognise that with the sudden uptick in Covid-19 cases, there is less appetite in general for coming together.
We are pleased to be able to bring you the same conference program on 8-9 June and look forward to our delegates being able to collaborate in person if that is their choice.
Streaming the conference would require the style of the conference and some of the sessions to be adjusted. However, if the pandemic continues to challenge an in-person event in June, a fully virtual conference will be arranged.
Conference registrations and accommodation bookings at The Langham will be carried over to the new date in June. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, a full refund will be issued to you on request.
Thank you again for your understanding around this very difficult decision but I am confident that when we do finally come together, we will have much to talk about and will relish the opportunity of in-person thought-provoking discussions.
