The North Central Catchment Management Authority protects and enhances the integrity of our catchments, by working in partnership with communities to deliver enduring natural resource management outcomes. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Environmental Assets team as a Catchment Restoration Officer on secondment.

The Catchment Restoration Officer will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects that protect and enhance important natural resource management assets within the North Central CMA region. The focus of the role will be to liaise with private land holders, public land managers and Traditional Owners to deliver negotiated environmental management outcomes to protect and enhance internationally significant wetlands in the north of the region. Key components central to the role will be the co-ordination and management of pest plant and animal control, fencing and re-vegetation works, together with developing land managers’ knowledge and skills through capacity building activities.

This secondment will be for a period of up to six-months and may be undertaken full time or part time. The position will be based out of Kerang.
