Professor Bruce Mountain will speak on the panel for the session on putting our industry at the centre of the circular economy
Professor Bruce Mountain
Professor Bruce Mountain is an energy economist specialising in the economic regulation of utilities and in the design of electricity markets and renewable energy policies. He is the Founding Director of the Victoria Energy Policy Centre (VEPC) at Victoria University. Bruce will bring his very relevant knowledge and experience in economic regulation and renewable energy policy to the panel on the circular economy.
His career started in the electricity industry, and then as a consultant to energy regulators, government departments, industry and their associations, energy users and their associations, multi-lateral lenders, investment banks, other consultancies and various non-governmental public interest organisations.
Bruce is also active in research and is published in specialist and general economics and policy journals. At the Victoria Energy Policy Centre, Bruce and his colleagues pursue applied research focussed on challenges arising from the transition to a low carbon economy.
