Sandy Ross

Sandy Ross is Executive Officer of Financial Counselling Victoria, the peak professional body for financial counsellors in Victoria. In past lives, he worked at the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, as an academic specialising in politics and public policy, and was Secretary of the CSIRO Staff Association, and the Science Division of the CPSU, representing scientists and technicians in federal science agencies. Sandy has also had significant involvement in community sector Boards, and is currently a member of the Travellers Aid Australia People and Services Committee, and of the Executive Committee of Consumers Federation Australia. He has a deep interest in how human beings organise themselves (in organisations, communities, nations) to exercise power, make decisions and manage conflicts, and how social institutions can be made to work towards inclusivity and social justice.
