Brendan Moore
Co-founder Pride in Water
Brendan Moore will join us at Connect 2021 to present in the Diversity & Inclusion stream, with a focus on Pride in Water and celebrating IDAHOBIT in the water sector.
He is the co-founder of Pride in Water and a mentor for Out for Australia and RMIT Pride Mentoring. Brendan is community minded and is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, specifically for the LGBTIQ+ Community.
Brendan is a professional process engineer with degrees in Chemical Engineering (Honours) and Science (Biotechnology). He is the Manager of Recycled Water Planning and Compliance at Yarra Valley Water, where he hopes to build his career as an engineer through exposure to treatment, design, project management, construction and commissioning.
In 2019 Brendan won the inaugural WSAA Ross Young Scholarship and received a high commendation in the AWA Victorian Young Water Professional Awards. He has been nominated for 2 Victorian Public Sector Pride awards for his work in LGBTIQ+ inclusion as well as being recognised as an ‘Established LGBTIQ+ Mentor’ by Out for Australia.
