Dr Sharon Davis
Senior Enterprise Fellow, University of Melbourne
Dr Sharon Davis will join us at Connect 2021 in the Environment & Policy stream and will participate in the Murray Darling Basin discussion. She is a Senior Enterprise Fellow at the University of Melbourne connecting researchers and industry to achieve real world impact.
Sharon has more than 20 years' experience in the public sector at both the state and federal level leading water and environmental policy, technical and R&D programs. She has spent most of her career working directly on Murray-Darling Basin issues, most recently as member of the ONE Basin CRC bid leadership team.
Throughout her career Sharon has focused on bridging science and policy to inform decision making. In 2019 she was selected as one of 80 women from around the world to participate in the global women in STEMM leadership program Homeward Bound. She has a PhD in Catchment Hydrology and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Sharon was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Harvard University in 2011 where she worked as part of the Harvard Water Security Initiative and was a Guest Lecturer and Teaching Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government. Sharon grew up in regional Victoria. She was a first-generation university graduate and is deeply committed to supporting equality, diversity and inclusion in the water sector.
