Victor Sojo Monzon

Senior Lecturer in Leadership, University of Melbourne

Victor Sojo Monzon will join us at Connect 2021 in the Diversity & Inclusion stream. He will sit on the panel for the discussion around the Pathways Program. Victor is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership at the University of Melbourne, a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, King’s College London, and an Associate Editor of the Australian Journal of Social Issues.

In his research, Victor uses a multidisciplinary and intersectional approach and focuses on factors that facilitate and hinder gender equality in occupational and sport contexts, such as incivility, gender and sexual harassment, work-family conflict and unconscious bias in talent management. He also studies diversity management strategies, leadership development mechanisms, and the impact of gender inequality on public health outcomes.

Victor has worked extensively with public organisations such as NSW Police, Victorian Government DPC, VPSC, Office of Prevention & Women's Equality, VicHealth, City of Monash, Our Watch conducting research, training and consulting. He has also worked in the private sector for the likes of CoHealth, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, EACH, Oxfam, PwC, among others. His research has been widely used in the development of policy recommendations.
