VicWater Submission – Independent review of economic regulation, governance and efficiency in the Victorian Water Sector
VicWater has tendered a response to the Preliminary Advice from the Independent Reviewer of Economic regulation, governance and
efficiency in the Victorian water sector.
VicWater was assisted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to undertake a gap analysis of the Preliminary Advice, compared to the September 2013 VicWater discussion paper on economic regulation of the water sector. PwC also facilitated a workshop with water sector personnel to assist the preparation of the submission.
The submission has three parts: (1) a cover letter and summary discussion, (2) a set of implementation principles for progressing the review, (3) a response to the consultation questions, as posed in the Preliminary Advice, and (4) an extract from a recent VicWater submission on red tape reduction, outlining current areas of high reporting and compliance burden.
