The committee has been busy this year and want to update you on a couple of exciting opportunities.

WaterAble Champion program

We are seeking expressions of interest for the WaterAble Champion Program.

The goal of this program is to set up an internal contact point to share information about inclusivity, accessibility, and sustainability in the water industry. By nominating a WaterAble Champion, your organisation can improve internal communication, encourage sharing of knowledge, and bring about positive changes within teams.

We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in the water sector and have strong communication and leadership skills. The nominated WaterAble Champion will act as a dedicated contact person for the WaterAble program, representing your organisation and ensuring that relevant information, resources, and opportunities are effectively shared and used internally.

If you’re interested in becoming a WaterAble Champion, or if you know someone who would be a good fit, please submit a nomination for the role to Tania at Tania.Beer@coliban.com.au by 20 May 2024.

 Day of action workshop

Our 2024 WaterAble Day of Action Workshop will be held on Friday 24 May 2024. The topic we will be focussing on is Reasonable Adjustments – the myths, mistakes and the magnificent. Come along to learn about best practice approaches to reasonable adjustments, resources around assistive technology, and helping neurodivergent employees to thrive in your workplace.

This workshop is open to employees of WaterAble Partners and will be held on Friday 24 May on Zoom from 930 – 1230pm.

A captioner for the deaf and hard of hearing will be present. Please let us know if you need any adjustments to enable you to fully participate in this workshop.

If you have any questions about the workshop, get in touch with Llewellyn at praininclusion@gmail.com.
