About the role
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll take the lead in electrical safety and standards for Gippsland Water, as well as undertaking hands on electrical design, site investigations and works supervision.
You’ll be involved with the planning, design, tendering, construction supervision and commissioning of major infrastructure capital projects, along with supervising and mentoring the electrical engineer.
With a passion for continuous improvement, you’ll drive the optimisation of our electrical assets and have an attention to detail for electrical drawings.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering.
- Current registration as a Professional Engineer in Victoria or eligible to obtain registration within six months.
- At least seven years electrical engineering experience in the water industry or related industry.
- Detailed knowledge of electrical standards and provision of technical advice at a high level.
- Demonstrated project management and risk management experience.
- Well-developed oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to use technical software packages for electrical engineering.

Are you a qualified Dam Safety Engineer looking for your next career challenge? We’re looking for a Senior Dam Safety Engineer to join our team at Goulburn-Murray Water to ensure that the 16 large dams we manage, continue to provide safe and reliable water supplies to northern Victoria.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing dam safety surveillance and monitoring programs
- Conducting and reporting on dam safety annual inspections
- Providing technical advice on dam safety and dam engineering issues

The Operator Reticulation plays a pivotal role in consistently executing water and wastewater reticulation tasks and ensuring smooth and efficient operations to deliver safe drinking water and compliant wastewater services.

Key Selection Criteria
- Understanding of and/or experience in asset (such as pipes and pumps) and equipment monitoring and maintenance.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to conduct system checks, complete electronic work orders and input information.

- Licence or competency in the use of excavation equipment, is not required but a willingness to obtain is essential.

Position Information
- An attractive salary range of $59,237 to $75,160 plus 11.5% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
- This role attracts additional remuneration through allowances and participation in an on-call roster.
- This is a full time, ongoing position.
- Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including a police check and/or pre-employment medical and functional testing where applicable.
