As the Delivery Practice Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of IT Programs and ensuring the Centre of Excellence (CoE) team adhere to Program Management best practices and methodologies.
Day to day you will be overseeing program management, ensuring priority IT programs are on track and the team are aligned to best practice.
Responsibilities
- Govern and manage the IT initiative delivery including delivery of projects and groups of projects across programs.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of features and solutions within the digital product/technology platform teams and adapt to a fit for purpose delivery approach and model.
- Plan, forecast and allocate resources (staff and contractors) to meet and balance demand for enhancement and support IT service delivery.
- Uplift the capability and maturity of the delivery function with the latest contemporary methodologies.
- Lead and manage a team of technology professionals, with a focus on positive employee engagement, creating a culture which drives delivery excellence across waterfall, agile and hybrid delivery models.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proven experience in running a technology delivery team in a corporate environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology or related field.

About the Role
Are you ready to lead a high-performing team and drive excellence in asset management?
Southern Rural Water (SRW) is seeking a Team Leader Asset Management to provide leadership, technical expertise, and strategic direction to ensure SRW’s infrastructure is managed in line with best practice and long-term resilience goals.
In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and asset management professionals to develop and implement asset management and asset class plans, renewal models, capital and maintenance budgets, and initiatives that deliver improved customer value. You will play a critical role in shaping our short- and long-term investment strategies, delivering sustainable outcomes that balance financial and environmental sustainability, and maturing asset management practices that are compliant with the Asset Management Accountability Framework.
From concept designs and options analyses through to preliminary business case development, you will guide investment decisions that optimise safety, efficiency, customer value, and system performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence infrastructure outcomes that deliver lasting value to our customers and communities.
As the Team Leader Asset Management, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of plans, reports and tools for various stages of asset lifecycle management.
- Drive improved asset management processes and practices across the organisation, ensuring alignment with ISO 55001 and compliance with the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF).
- Provide technical engineering expertise to lead the development of asset planning activities including problem statements, options analyses, concept designs and preliminary business cases, to inform capital delivery projects/programs of work; completed in a timely manner and to meet business requirements.
- Contribute to sustainable asset solutions that optimise safety, operability, technology, cost, customer outcomes, system performances and risk-reduction.
- Developing financial models for assets (e.g., renewal models, lifecycle cost models) to inform short- and long- term capital and operation planning.
About you
The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below:
- Qualification: Tertiary qualification in engineering (civil, mechanical, or electrical) or equivalent, with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia.
- Experience: 6+ years experience in water industry or asset management. Including demonstrated expertise in infrastructure planning, project management, and lifecycle cost modelling.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in asset management frameworks, with practical experience in regulatory price submissions to the Essential Services Commission. Knowledge of ISO 55001 and the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) is highly regarded.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical information for diverse audiences.
- Leadership capability: experience in coaching, performance management, and building collaborative teams.

About the role
As an experienced Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician, the employee is responsible for delivering both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across East Gippsland Water assets, with an initial focus on recycled water treatment facilities. In addition to maintenance delivery, the role includes providing specialised input into the development and optimisation of mechanical maintenance plans and schedules, project scoping and design (aligned with the employee’s skills and expertise), development of maintenance procedures and documentation, and preparation of condition assessment reports.
Initially, the role will concentrate on supporting operational and maintenance activities at recycled water treatment plants within the EGW network. However, it is expected that within 12 months, the position will transition into the central maintenance team, expanding its mechanical maintenance responsibilities across all EGW assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate and deliver mechanical maintenance for recycled water treatment facilities, including in-house repairs and contractor management.
- Project Support: Assist with major repairs, minor mechanical renewals, and other assigned projects.
- Planning & Reporting: Develop and optimise maintenance schedules, conduct condition assessments, and produce detailed reports with recommendations.
- Team Collaboration: Share knowledge, mentor staff, and foster a cooperative, inclusive, and positive team culture.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively across EGW, manage meetings and conflict constructively, and represent EGW values.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote and apply health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring activities align with risk and procurement frameworks.

About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Assets and Operations, the Manager Asset Planning leads the development and implementation of Westernport Water’s asset strategies and future servicing plans. Southern Rural Water is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor for a limited-term appointment to provide guidance on environmental management and climate change strategy. This role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Environmental Advisor will be responsible for delivering advice on environmental and water quality management. The position will oversee SRW’s obligations under the Safe Drinking Water Act 2003 and ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection Act, working to balance regulatory requirements with practical, high quality service delivery.
We are looking for someone with demonstrated knowledge in Environmental Management Systems, a thorough understanding of environmental legislation, and experience in the implementation of effective environmental management strategies. Familiarity with, or experience in, climate change adaptation and mitigation initiatives will be highly regarded.

- Degree qualified in Environmental Sciences, natural resource management, or related discipline.
- Sound understanding of environmental management principles and concepts, particularly in relation to sustainable water resource management.
- Understanding of systems designed to identify and manage environmental risks and issues, including Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and the ISO14001 Standard.
- Provide experience in environmental risk assessment, control development and auditing.
- Ability to interpret, advise and provide training on complex matters to an audience with limited understanding of underlying technical principles.
